Abstract
The susceptibility of an insect to a fumigant varies with the rate of respiratory metabolism. Certain factors increase the rate of metabolism; others decrease it and automatically increase the susceptibility of the insect. Of the known important are: An increase in temperature; an increase in the carbon dioxide content of the fumigation chamber; and a decrease in the oxygen content of the fumigation chamber. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
