Generalization of Okubo's formula to four-dimensional unitary groups

Abstract

Okubo's formula for the matrix elements of a mixed tensor is generalized from the group U(3) to the group U(4). Application of this new formula to study the structure of the mass-splitting operator in U(4) is given.
