Deletion of the short arm of chromosome 4 from a subject with Wolf’s syndrome

Abstract
This fibroblast cell culture was established from the skin biopsy of an 11 yr old male whose chromosomes have a distal deletion of the short arm of chromosome 4. The patient exhibited multiple abnormalities. His cells in culture have a chromosome complement of 46,XY,del(4)(pter .fwdarw. p14:) and should be useful for gene-mapping studies. A subpopulation of the cells in culture (33%) were found to have a 7q+ as well as the deleted 4.
