Abstract
The authors report the fabrication of an integrated-optic dispersion equaliser module based on a planar lightwave circuit (PLC). The equaliser consists of five asymmetrical Mach-Zehnder interferometers cascaded in series. Polyimide half waveplates inserted in the interferometers eliminate the polarisation dependent path length differences of the equaliser.Keywords
