Abstract
A cylindrical multiwire proportional chamber operating within the vacuum tank of a rapid-cycling bubble chamber is described. The system is used in conjunction with the SLAC Ko-spectrometer to allow the selection of event topologies of several types of KoL p reactions having small cross sections (~ 0.1 to 1 mb) in comparison with the total cross section (~ 25 mb). Construction of the chamber, its electronics, data acquisition, and operational characteristics are presented. Keywords
