Abstract
The proposed method utilizes the fact that bright beer does not absorb any radiation in the near infra-red region whereas particles in suspension scatter at this wavelength in the normal way. This affords a method of measuring yeast concentration directly in undiluted beer. Agreement with counting chamber determinations is good and the technique is simple and rapid.Keywords
