Abstract
A method is described for the estimation of RNA and DNA in microscopic preparations of pea roots by measuring the fluorescent intensity of a dye-nucleate complex. By this method the nucleic acid content may be determined of small groups of cells in different tissues of the root. The limitations of the method are outlined. Keywords
