Abstract
From 0.030 to 0.076 mg of hydrogen phosphide per liter was required to obtain 50% mortality of adult rusty grain beetle. Cryptolestes ferrugineus (Stephens), and C. turcicus (Grouvelle) during an exposure period of 5 hr at 24°C. Dosages in excess of 0.4 mg of hydrogen phosphide per liter for 5-hr exposure periods did not cause 100% mortality, and even 6.48 mg per liter caused only 77% mortality. Eggs 0 to 24 hr old were resistant and 2.5 mg hydrogen phosphide per liter were required at 24°C to cause 50% mortality. Keywords
