Abstract
In 2 cases of photoallergic dermatitis resulting from use of a popular brand of soap, tribromsalan (tribromosalicylanilide), an antiseptic heretofore considered nonsensitizing, was found to be the sensitizing agent. This antiseptic should be considered in the search for the cause of unexplained photoallergic contact dermatitis; however, this form of photosensitivity is at present rare enough that the use of this agent in soap is not cause for alarm. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
