Abstract
Enucleation of the incisor germinal center and extraction of molars in the mandibles of young hamsters produced a significant decrease in the size of the mandibular body, loss of normal occlusion, and a shift of the mandibular body medially and cranially. Condylectomies mainly affected the length of the mandible and were closely related to loss of the articular cartilage and impairment of ramal growth. Keywords
