Abstract
The first synthesis of mycinolide‐V (1) is reported. 1 is the aglycon of mycinamycin‐V, a 16‐membered macrolide antibiotic. The synthesis starts from a C‐3/C‐9 segment, which has been extended to a C‐1/C‐10 building block, and subsequently condensed with a C‐11/C‐17 segment. Keywords
