Abstract
The amount of insulin extractable from the pancreas of rats was decreased by exposure to cold (1.5°C) for a period of 50 days. The weight of the pancreas was increased by exposure to cold. Changes in the weight of the Islets of Langerhans were so variable that no statistically significant variation was observed. Prolonged exposure to cold did not affect the concentration of blood lactic acid. Keywords
