Relative Eruption Precedence of Mandibular and Maxillary Teeth in Two Populations

Abstract
While normative tables show mandibular teeth as erupting earlier than their maxillary opponents, individual analyses of mandibular versus maxillary eruption precedence among Quechua-speaking inhabitants of Central Ecuador, and Pima Indians, were in virtually complete agreement as to the tendency for the mandibular incisors'' precedence in 98 - 99 [degree]/o of cases, mandibular molar precedence in 70 - 75 [degree]/o of cases, but for maxillary premolar precedence in both populations.
