Infrared reflectivity ofp-type CuInTe2

Abstract
An infrared reflectivity study of the lattice vibrational frequencies has been made of the chalcopyrite-structured ternary semiconductor CuInTe2. The results are more comprehensive than previously reported, enabling a fuller interpretation of the lattice vibrational spectrum to be made. Four modes with E symmetry have been observed, at 172, 157, 126, and 50 cm1. Three B2 modes were observed at 170, 101, and 46 cm1. A simple tetra-atomic linear chain model has been used to help classify the frequencies and also to resolve the discrepancies in previous studies of CuInSe2.
