Abstract
Calculations, based on the crystal absorption and the lamp emission spectra, and also experimental crystal pumping tests have shown that a water‐cooled krypton arc is approximately twice as efficient as a xenon arc or a tungsten‐iodine filament lamp for the CW pumping of YAG:Nd3+ at room temperature.Keywords
