Abstract
In experiments conducted against eggs and motile forms of Tetranychus urticae Koch and T. cinnabarinus (Boisduval), clofentezine [3,6-bis(2-chlorophenyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine] demonstrated selective toxicity against eggs. Contact mortality against motile forms was poor (<35%), but clofentezine was highly effective when used in combination with dicofol and diazinon. A treatment/temperature/time effect was obtained for both species, with clofentezine being less effective at 22°C than at 16°C. Tests for transovarial transmission showed no significant effect. Effective egg mortality from residual activity was variable for T. urticae , and relatively consistent for T. cinnabarinus . over a period of 22 days. Two wettable powders and one soluble concentrate formulations with different particle sizes were evaluated. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
