Halogen Charge-Transfer States and the Optical Threshold Profile in Metals

Abstract
Charge-transfer excitations of halogen impurities in potassium have been detected by optical methods. The data are used to establish experimentally that optical threshold profiles in metals are determined by chemical properties of optical centers.Keywords
