Abstract
Biotype L of Mayetiola destructor (Say) was isolated from a greenhouse population of Biotype D by both progeny and single egg selection. Biotype L is able to survive and infest cultivars having the Ribeiro (H5 gene) source of resistance at 15–21°C. Though these cultivars are resistant to the 8 previously known biotypes, the number of possible biotypes is now 16. Size of puparia (length) of Biotype L is comparable to that of puparia in susceptible cultivars. Additionally, size on ‘Abe’ wheat decreased as the number of puparia per plant increased. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
