Abstract
Three dozen observations and recommendations concerning the activities of research consultants in the behavioral sciences are listed and discussed. These "guidelines," some of which are stated as aphorisms, are discussed in five categories: planning, implementing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting. Readers are encouraged to add their own ideas about advice giving in statistics and research to this list and to share them with the author. Keywords
