Abstract
Es wird ein Fall eines endokrin hochaktiven Dünndarmcarcinoids mit Lebermetastasen beschrieben, bei welchem mit der Hochspannungselektrophorese große Mengen von Oxyindolessigsäure im Harn nachgewiesen wurden. Auch im Blutserum des Kranken gelang der Nachweis dieses Stoffes. A case is described of carcinoid of the small intestine with liver metastases. There was evidence of considerable endocrine secretion by this tumour. Large quantities of oxyindole acetic acid (the oxidation product of 5-oxytryptamine which was secreted by the tumour) were demonstrated in the urine by means of high-tension electrophoresis. This substance was also demonstrated in the patient's serum. Details of electrophoretic methods of identification are given. Carcinoide metastásico del intestino delgado Se describe un caso de carcinoide de intestino delgado de gran actividad endocrina con metástasis hepáticas, en el que se pudo poner de manifiesto por electroforesis de alta tensión gran cantidad de ácido oxiindolacético en la orina. También en el suero del enfermo se consiguió demostrar esta sustancia.
