Abstract
Combinations of calcium carbonate and sodium dihydroge-n phosphate at 2 levels were applied to native Eriophorum vaginatum and to spaced, single transplants of Molinia caerulea. Plant material was harvested in the 2d year of treatment but no significant dry weight growth responses were found. The phosphate contents of the plants corresponded to the level of application and the pH of the surface peat was raised substantially following calcium treatment.
