Abstract
A simple method using silver nitrate to demonstrate papillae of cercariae is described. Cercariae of six species of three genera of echinostomes were studied and three types of papillae were distinguished. On type of seta-bearing papilla formed symmetrical and characteristic patterns in each species. Distribution and numerical patterns of papillae in two closely related species were similar; those in the other species were somewhat similar but showed marked differences.
