Abstract
A yellow, dialyzable, hydrophilic chromophore is present in the uterine lumen of pigs on day 8 of the estrous cycle. Microbiological assays [using Lactobacillus casei], thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, UV-visible spectra and infrared spectra provide evidence that the yellow substance is riboflavine. The quantity of riboflavine in the uterine secretions was measured by microbiological assay as 100.3 .+-. 16.7 .mu.g of riboflavine per uterine flushing. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
