Abstract
The electrochemical oxidation of glucose at a platinized platinum rotating disk electrode was studied under simulated physiological conditions (Krebs‐Ringer buffer solution, pH 7.4, 37°C). Linear voltage scans were used to obtain current‐voltage curves over a range of −700 to 1000 mV (vs. SCE) in order to study the effects of glucose concentration, chloride ion concentration, sweep rate, electrode pretreatment, and electrode surface roughness. Electrochemical pretreatment of the electrode prior to each measurement provided good reproducibility in the results. Keywords
