Abstract
An analysis of the papers published in the African Journal of Library, Archives and Information Science (AJLAIS) during the period 1996–2000. It is a follow-up of a similar study that covered the period 1991–1995. Seventynine papers were analysed by various factors, including the status of the authors, gender, country of origin, and types of research. When compared to the previous study, this study reveals an increase in the number of cited publications from Africa. The major areas of interest are information technology, publishing and records management. Keywords
