Abstract
The Disabled Persons (Employment) Act of 1944 set up a national register of disabled persons and facilities for their industrial rehabilitation. The Industrial Rehabilitation Units of the Ministry of Labour which were provided for by this Act were described and their functions evaluated in the Piercy Report (1956). The broad scope of present concepts of rehabilitation is fully reviewed by Vaughan Jones (1961) and will not be discussed here. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
