The relationship of various aspects of body weight to distance flown on a laboratory flight mill was determined by flying 100 female Anopheles stephensi Liston mosquitoes. This study showed that distance flown is most related to weight gained after emergence and is correlated significantly with body weights taken prior to or after flight. Pre-feed wet body weight, post flight dry body weight, and wing loading ratio showed little or no relationship to distance flown.
