Abstract
A group of substituted benzoic acids possessing a meta-nitro group and a para oxygen-containing substituent induced albinism in oat seedlings. The mechanism of action appears to be inhibition of pigment formation rather than pigment destruction. Crabgrass, henbit and other weeds are also susceptible to these compounds of which the 3-nitro-4- hydroxybenzoic acid is the most active. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
