Abstract
D-serine ethanolamine phosphodiester (SEP) is found exclusively in the Oligochaeta, while the L-isomer is widely distributed in birds, amphibians, reptiles and fishes. p32-incorporation in 16 week-old chickens into L-SEP is predominantly high in the kidney, from which P32-L-SEP is likely distributed to various tissues. Biosynthesis of p32-L-SEP in the chicken kidney homogenates supplemented with Mg2+, K succinate, adenosine diphos-phate and cytosine triphosphate (CTP), is completely inactivated by the addition of 2,4-dinitrophenol, and halved by omitting CTP.Keywords
