Abstract
British anti-lewisite (BAL) is an effective therapeutic agent against both the local and systemic action of certain arsenical war gases and is of value in the treatment of other types of arsenical poisoning. Its prepn., chemistry, action, toxicology and medical applications are discussed.Keywords
