Nucleon-nucleon final state interactions in NN→NNπ

Abstract
Peaks in cross sections for the NN→NNπ reaction at low relative momentum for the final nucleon-nucleon pair are successfully explained using and final state interactions. Both singlet and triplet final state interactions are important and can interfere dramatically in certain spin observables.
