Abstract
Concomitant sugar detns. were done on the blood and on the bloody cerebrospinal fluids of patients suffering from cerebral and subarachnoid hemorrhage. In only 3 cases out of 50 was the spinal fluid sugar less than 40 mg.%, and in 9 it was below 45 mg.%. There was no relation between the sugar content and the number of erythrocytes. Expts. performed to determine the possible presence of a glycolytic enzyme to account for the low sugar values did not reveal such an enzyme. Keywords
