Abstract

Thiolato com pounds such as tC₄H₉N = V(SR)₃ (R = ^tC₄H₉, SiPh₃), ⁱC₃H₇N = V(S^tC₄H₉)₃ and ^tC₄H₉N = V(O^tC₄H₉)„(S^tC₄H₉)_3-n (n = 1,2) have been prepared by reaction of im inovanadium (V) chlorides with LiSR. The properties of ^tC₄H₉N = V(S^tC₄H₉)₃ are studied by redistribution and hydrolysis reactions. ¹H. ¹³C, ⁵¹V NMR spectra are discussed; the constants of ⁵¹V, ¹⁴N coupling have been determined. X-R ay diffraction analyses confirm a distorted tetrahedral arrangement of the ligands in the vanadium (V) complexes 5 and 9
