Abstract
This article details a successful project in the design and implementation of a decision support system for practical use in a hospital setting. The approach used, the steps followed, the problems encountered, and the lessons learned are described and discussed with special emphasis on the managerial issues and management involvement during the decision support system life cycle.Keywords
