Abstract
The small slope of the second peak, b2 = 1.8 GeV-2, in the differential cross section for p-p elastic scattering at √s = 53 GeV is shown to indicate the three-quark structure of proton in the constituent multiple scattering model. Geometrical scaling proposed by Dias de Deus is incorporated in the model and it is shown to give a reasonable energy-dependence of the observables. Another change of slope occurs at higher momentum-transfer squared t≃-7 GeV2, followed by a distribution of smaller slope 0.3 ∼0.8 GeV-2 in the range 10 ≤|t| ≤20 GeV2. High energy πN elastic scattering is also studied and a peculiar structure is predicted to appear at large t.Keywords
