The hyperfine structure of the

lines of

{Ar}^{37}

i, studied in an electrodeless discharge, has been used to determine the nuclear spin

I ({Ar}^{37}) = \frac{3}{2}

, and the nuclear magnetic moment

μ ({Ar}^{37}) = (+ 0.95 \pm 0.20)

nm. The

{Ar}^{37}

{Ar}^{40}

isotope shift, which has been completely resolved for only one line, tends generally to confirm earlier work.
