Abstract
The relationship between MOD training and the problems presenting after duty hours in the authors ER were studied as an example of the MOD system. This was done to determine what types of problems were seen in our ER, to ascertain what referral patterns arose as a result of the problems seen, to find out how the MOD's training related to the types of problems seen, and to assess the continuing medical education (CME) activities of the MOD providers as related to their ER practice.
