Abstract
The distribution of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity in the brain and hypophyses of crossbred European boars that had been raised and maintained in the humid tropics was studied. AChE activity varied between brain and hypophyseal parts. Compared to results obtained from rats, the results of this study imply some evolutionary changes in the importance of the different brain parts with respect to the regulation of animal behaviour. Keywords
