Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A fifty-seven-year-old man entered the hospital because of abdominal pain.Seven months previously a cholecystectomy and appendectomy were performed because of chronic cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. He had had episodes of nausea and vomiting as well as flatulence and pain in the right lower quadrant and middle portion of the abdomen for a number of years. During the six months before the cholecystectomy there was a loss of 20 pounds in weight. At this time the total serum protein was 6.8 gm., the albumin 3.3 gm., and the globulin 3.5 gm. per 100 ml.; a stool . . .Keywords
