Optimizing heavy ion experiments to probe dense nuclear matter

Abstract
Methods of extracting the azimuth of the reaction plane are compared using theoretically generated test data. We show that the required resolution can be achieved by experiments that are conceptually simpler than fully exclusive 4π measurements.Keywords
