Abstract
The temperature dependence of the spin lattice relaxation time T1 of the 23Na nucleus is measured in NaNO2 with special emphasis on the surroundings of the phase transition points. The results are related to the known dynamical dielectric behaviour. Particularly the fact that T1 is nearly constant in a temperature interval of about 4 K above Tc can be understood by assuming that the fast motion condition is violated in this region. Keywords
