Abstract
Fifteen cases of chorda tympani neurectomy for the treatment of submandibular salivary gland obstruction have been under detailed observation for a minimum of 3 years. Complete relief of symptoms has been obtained in all the cases and there have been no significant complications. The operation is indicated in all cases hitherto regarded as requiring surgical extirpation of the gland, with the very rare exception of neoplasia. Keywords
