Abstract
The utilization of valproic acid (VA) has expanded since its introduction in 1978 for the treatment of epilepsy. It is now also prescribed for bipolar affective disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia and migraine prophylaxis [1]. With increased usage, VA overdose will probably become more common. Unfortunately, the best approach to treating severe VA overdose remains unclear. Keywords
