Abstract
Every child, shortly before discovering light bulbs are hot, is struck by the rich red glow of its lingers. Pulse oximetry exploits this phenomenon to provide an instant and continuous indication of arterial blood oxygenation. Although it is used for medical information, this non-invasive monitoring has potential as a nursing tool. Keywords
