Abstract
A new type of acoustic surface wave amplifier is described which makes use of an accumulation layer on silicon. Experimental measurements from 84 to 382 MHz show electronic gain of nearly 25 dB over an effective amplifier length of 5 mm. The possibility of CW amplification by this device is indicated.Keywords
