Abstract
Hematologic studies on swine inoculated with virulent rinderpest virus showed a reduction of 67% in total leukocytes on the 3rd post-inoculation day, and a return to normal by the 87th day. There were no other hematological changes. Temperature rose on the 3rd day and returned to normal by the 87th. Other clinical signs included anorexia, stiff gait, and arched back. Antibodies developed in all inoculated pigs.
