Abstract
A new technic is described for the study of the arterial circulation of amputated extremities. The method is based on the use of a radiopaque injection mass containing lead and gelatin, and a procedure for unrolling the extremity so that the major arteries lay in one plane. Data are presented concerning the extent and location of arterial occlusion, narrowing, calcification and interarterial anastomosis in 66 legs amputated because of arteriosclerotic gangrene. Keywords
