Abstract
Using the Hermitian representation of the complex coordinate method that recently has been developed (Ref. 1), error estimates for the approximate resonance position and width are calculated. We prove here that for a given estimate of the resonance position and width the e x a c t solution is embedded in the surface of a crescent being part of an annular ring whose inner and outer radii can be obtained by variational calculations. An illustrative numerical example is presented. Keywords
