Abstract
Effects of severe nervous stimulation on the functional state of the hypophysis, adrenals and ovaries of female rats was studied, by use of P32. It was found that even in response to acute traumatization, the relative specific activity of each of these organs increased substantially. In response to chronic stimulation hyperactivity of these organs gradually diminished, but adaptation was not complete even on the 42d day. The results are interpreted as demonstrating that nervous stimulation also enhances the gonad stimulating activity of the adenohypophysis. Keywords
