Abstract
Continuum-radiation measurements of an oxygen plasma are presented for a wavelength range from 3000-9600 Å and for temperatures from 9000-14 000°K. The plasma was generated in a mechanically constricted dc arc run at atmospheric pressure. A comparison of the experimental data with theoretical predictions for the positive-ion radiation of Burgess and Seaton and for the negative-ion cross sections of Moskvin was made by a temperature-dependence curve-fit method. Keywords
